The content of the book was just what I had hoped for -- thought-provoking, original, and relatable. The author brought up several fantastic points about female sexuality and pole dancing that I am still pondering a month after reading it. However, the book and each of the essays within are quite short; I would love to see a second edition that fleshes out some of the arguments presented. Claire is sharp and elegant in her straight-to-the-heart of the matter book about erotic dance. Most people don't realize how incredibly empowering it is for a woman to release herself through this type of movement. Through pole dancing and erotic dance I have personally seen many transformations including my own. I find it is often a challenge to describe exactly what it is about erotic dance that can heal a woman's soul. Now I simply refer people to Claire's book. It is short and easy to read and of course all the gorgeous photography is easy on the eyes!

Finished book all at once. First time I didn't mind waiting in the doctor's office for a long time. Amazing read! I loved that it explores every angle/every perspective someone may have. Not only does it show how pole is positive from a spiritual standpoint but also from a physical and intellectual one. It tries to help everyone see where and why even if they disagree. Well done Claire! I'm so proud of this book and what it tells and teaches us. Takes a extremely intelligent and open person to hear it.

This is a great book for those thinking about trying pole dancing. I have been dancing for fitness purposes for a while, so this was all information I already had learned. Still a good boost if insecurities run around in your head from time to time.
The best book I've read on the subject, very powerful
This book is an amazing read for those that want to pole dance, already do, or have those judgmental views towards pole dancing. I started dancing just this year and although I don't have much practice in it, it has still helped me.This book helps one understand why pole dancing is so empowering and as you read makes you want to dance more to have that feeling again.
